Abdul Dosunmu is a social change leader who engages his diverse experience in law, politics and public affairs to advance equity and justice. Abdul is the founder and executive director of the Young Black Lawyers’ Organizing Coalition (YBLOC), a national network of young Black lawyers and law students working to build and protect equitable democracy. He is also an advisor to the Donors of Color Network, a cross-racial donor organizing network, and its Climate Funders Justice Pledge to mobilize resources for climate justice. Formerly, Abdul was a political appointee of President Barack Obama to the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he served as special assistant to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx. Abdul earned a J.D. from NYU School of Law, where he was a Furman Public Policy Scholar, and a B.A. from the University of Chicago, where he received the Howell Murray Alumni Association Award, one of the college's highest honors. He is a proud multigenerational Texan with roots in Dallas.
